List of Presidents of Honduras 2022 | Complete List Of Honduras Presidents – On July 1, 1823, honduras, along with Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, declared its independence from the first Mexican Empire to form the short-lived Federal Republic of Central America, also known as the United Provinces of Central America. Honduras remained as a Member State until it decided to secede in 1838. Between 5 November 1838, when Nicaragua seceded from the Federation, and between about 1840 the entire Union was dissolved in the Civil War.
